Let's start at the beginning. Running track and cross country in high school planted the seed that grew into my love of fitness. Seeing the change I could create in my own body was empowering. I learned that fitness is more than losing weight. Fitness is a feeling. Feeling good. Moving without pain. Standing taller. Achieving goals. This is what makes you feel good. I wanted to share this empowerment with others. In 2008, helping people improve their fitness and change their lives became my passion and my profession.
I work with a wide variety of clients – from 15 to 85. From people just starting out to those with serious long-term goals. My greatest assets as a trainer are foremost an in-depth knowledge of the human body and how it works, but also unending creativity. Knowing how to modify any exercise up or down. It’s my job to help you move better and feel better. Safely and effectively. So you want to keep coming back and can keep coming back without injuring yourself.
When you keep challenging yourself consistently, you will see change. With every session, we see change. Change in strength, in mobility, in appearance, in confidence, in attitude. In short, my job is so much more than helping people change their bodies. I help people live longer, stronger, happier lives. Nothing is more important.
Other important things to know about me: I am a huge nerd. I love Dr. Who, Star Wars and documentaries. I listen to books or podcasts while I run. I love animals. And although I don’t currently have any, I find ways to keep them in my life. My favorite thing about running a 5k is the beer at the end of the race. Naps are life.
